About Us
Our Hollow Tree Business
All of our products are inspired by the wonderful, unique shapes and textures that Nature provides.
This journey started in 2003 when my then new fiance` took me looking for a potential house site. In our wanderings over the land I noticed many downed hollow trees and wondered how I could make them useful again. Inspired by the various shapes, I started creating new homes for birds, faeries and other small woodland friends. This has since expanded into the occasional larger object for the human home that is both useful and beautiful.
Who We Are
Deb Goodwin Potter, the artist / dreamer, the goat herder who finds these works by Mother Nature, then does the refinement needed in bringing everything to fruition.
Paul Potter, the wonderful, supportive husband, who hauls the logs to our mill, where he dutifully cuts them for me, and then lugs them to my shop. Who also keeps the water buckets full and makes the unending trips to manure pile with the loaded tractor.
Our official leaf trimmers and clean up crew after a long day of hard work!
